With 30 years of industry leadership, iProspect is applying its experience navigating disruption in an increasingly algorithmic landscape
Few people in 1996 would have anticipated consumers’ move from renting VHS tapes to ordering movies through streaming services, or that landlines would eventually give way to a phone that fits in your pocket.
Even fewer would have foreseen the most significant shift of all, where the internet’s rise forced brands to stop simply chasing consumer attention and respond to what they’re looking for instead.

Global digital marketing agency iProspect, which is marking its 30th anniversary this year, has demonstrated the value of a restless mindset in both recognizing and navigating that shift. The team members demonstrate constant curiosity, seeing opportunities where others see disruption, and a willingness to experiment and iterate.
In that sense, the agency’s longevity is not simply a milestone, but an object lesson for the industry in how to continually transform based on emerging consumer behavior, technology platforms, and measurement approaches.
Reinvention as a competitive advantage
Two years before Google was founded, iProspect was already setting up a search agency. Long before performance marketing became a common industry term, the agency was focusing on demonstrating measurable outcomes for its clients.
According to Liz Vance, president of iProspect North America, who has been with the agency for more than 18 years, these are just two examples of how staying ahead of what’s next depends on shortening the gap between insight and taking action.
“The biggest shift hasn’t been a new channel or technology, but the speed at which disruption becomes reality, with AI accelerating that pace dramatically,” Vance said. “We’ve learned that staying relevant means staying relentlessly focused on client outcomes, continuously evolving, and connecting strategy, media, data, technology, and creativity to drive growth.”
Emily Anthony, chief client solutions officer of iProspect North America, explained this not only takes the right tools, but creates an experience where the agency feels like an extension of the client team. In doing so, they can answer questions that matter most to the business and uncover new ways to drive agility, efficiency, and growth.
“Meaningful innovation requires sustained partnership, deep understanding of the client business, and hands-on involvement from senior talent, which is increasingly how we’re designing our teams and engagement models,” Anthony said.
A restless mindset helps steer this kind of continual reinvention in the right direction by challenging existing beliefs and always asking what might work better for the client, Anthony added.
Unified media as an answer to the era of algorithms
iProspect’s history also runs in parallel with the changing nature of media planning. Where agencies once worked manually with spreadsheets, fixed channel allocations, and limited demographic data, algorithms now help dynamically optimize creative, bids, and placements using first-party contextual data and performance signals.
The danger comes in assuming the customer journey is constant rather than monitoring how they interact with channels and how touchpoints connect. For Anthony, this is another area where never being satisfied with the status quo plays a critical role.
“It’s no longer enough to optimize individual channels or platforms for media efficiency,” Anthony explained. “Clients need agency partners who understand how the underlying algorithms work across the ecosystem and can connect those signals into a unified growth strategy that drives measurable business outcomes.”
iProspect brings this to life through Unified Media, an approach that connects audiences and data signals with the right creative, channels, and customer experience. This integrated system is designed to feed intelligence back as it operates to enhance long-term decision-making.
Anthony shared that a Unified Media approach avoids treating media planning as a series of disconnected optimizations and lets iProspect concentrate on developing a holistic way of providing greater value to clients.
“It requires an agency partner that can operate as a transformation advisor, assessing readiness across data, technology, measurement, operating models, and talent,” Anthony said. “It also helps organizations define the roadmap needed to stay competitive.”
Turning transformation into business impact
Staying on top of future trends, experimenting intelligently, and scaling what works has paid off for iProspect. The agency has maintained and expanded a 15-year relationship with Hilton and brought new brands into the fold, including Hy-Vee and Mead Johnson.
Behind those results is an approach that balances data-driven decision-making with a distinctly human perspective.
“Although iProspect has done a great job of bringing all this data together and making decisions with that data, the agency also kept a human touch to what the experience really needs to be,” shared Mark Lawson, EVP and chief digital and information officer at Cox Enterprises. “All our experiences that we built have been centered around the customer and very human-centric but driven by data.”
At an industry-wide level, RECMA has recognized iProspect as the fastest-growing media agency between 2022 and 2025, and it made ADWEEK’s Team Visionary Awards shortlist for its work with client and partner Salesforce.
For Vance, the 30th anniversary is less about celebrating the past than continuing to nurture its team’s restless mindset. It’s the only way to remain future-focused as transformation from AI and other forces continue to reshape marketing and advertising.
“Leadership during change isn’t about having all the answers. It’s about showing up, creating clarity where you can, and keeping people focused on what matters most,” Vance shared. “The best leaders know their teams’ strengths, communicate openly, and align everyone around a shared vision, even as the path forward evolves.”
