Tory Burch and Sony bring innovative 4K imaging to fashion industry

It’s Fashion Week in New York, and as much as we love coming to work every day, we can’t help but wish we were in NYC watching designers unveil their new collections for Spring 2014. Luckily, our favorite fashion bloggers are bringing the event to us: Instagramming every moment, Tweeting photos of models racing to get to the next show with wild hair and makeup still on. To get us even closer to the action, we can rely on live-stream video from the shows.

One designer has taken runway video to the next level, capturing the first ever runway show in 4 times the detail and clarity of high definition video.

Tory Burch, one of fashion’s favorite luxury brands defined by classic American sportswear, has partnered with Sony Electronics to bring a world’s first to the fashion industry: a 4K Runway Show.  This year, the Tory Burch 2014 Spring Collection was unveiled at Lincoln Center while Sony F55 professional 4K cameras captured every step, turn and photo opp in stunning resolution. This footage will be used to promote the collection in select venues.

We’re just happy we were able to see it live on the Tory Burch website.  It was almost as good as being there.  Almost.
