Dubbed "Mobilegeddon", today is the release of Google's latest algorithm update which will favour mobile-friendly websites in mobile search results.
In February, Google announced the update which is expanding the use of mobile-friendliness as a ranking signal and said: "This change will affect mobile searches in all languages worldwide and will have a significant impact in our search results. Consequently, users will find it easier to get relevant, high quality search results that are optimised for their devices."
What does this mean for businesses?
Essentially, it means businesses need to ensure a seamless experience and easy access to information on their website, regardless of the device the visitor is on.
How will you know if your website is mobile-friendly and why does it matter?
