Role Purpose

  • Support the Global Client Lead across a Consumer Electronics global client, particularly in all aspects of account management, client relationships and project delivery by Dentsu Aegis local teams.
  • Project & Network Management by working collaboratively with colleagues across local markets and Dentsu Aegis Network to service global client needs.
  • Key but not exclusive areas of support are across team resourcing and processes; delivering playbooks for local nuances to ensure teams globally account for the requirements of each market, while each market adopts a global framework; boosting local teams understanding and embrace of client business strategy, goals and ways of working; delivery of digital programs e.g transformation, training; coordination with local agency teams re media buying delivery; support for commercial and financial workstreams and oversight of reporting
  • This role will also manage a small media team based in Singapore focusing on SEA markets.

Key Accountabilities

  • Managing the Business: Support the delivery of multiple workstreams in order to meet client expectations through effective mobilisation of the Dentsu Aegis Network resources and people at all times.
  • Project Management: Support the delivery of new ways of working within the teams, ensuring that process is being adhered to (compliance with client requirements, standard and operating procedures etc.) and deadlines are met.
  • Relationship Management: Supporting the delivery of outstanding client service for central clients and working with Client Lead to deliver according to appropriate client service plan.
  • Client Knowledge: Demonstrate an excellent understanding of the client’s products, services, business strategy and goals, to act as the gatekeeper of client strategy and requirements across Dentsu Aegis local teams.
  • DAN products, OpCo tools and services knowledge. Gain strong understanding of the DAN proposition and model to enable introductions and cross selling.
  • Proactive Client Development: Support the Global Client Lead in identifying opportunities for cross-sell and up-sell.
  • Managing Client Requirements Across The Network: Responding in a timely and accurate manner to client requests for information, working seamlessly with internal stakeholders and colleagues across the network in order to deal with their requests.
  • Network Client Team Management: Appropriate management and mobilisation of Dentsu Aegis network / operating companies around client, responsible for ensuring delivery in a timely accurate fashion
  • Best Practice: Delivering and sharing best practice as appropriate.
  • Collaboration: Demonstrate the ability to cultivate strong relationships across local markets/operating companies to ensure that work is delivered on time and to high quality.
  • Finance: Work with the finance teams, partnering with a Finance Lead, a Finance manager and a head of Operations to ensure the finance process is smooth and error-free, with all deliverables submitted to client on the agreed dates and without errors.

Person Specification

Preferred Profile Experience

  • 10+ years of experience in similar roles
  • Media agency background, ideally with several years managing or playing a key role within Global accounts in Dentsu Aegis Network
  • Sound media and operational background, with commercial, financial & legal acument
  • Gravitas with a Global Senior stakeholders, both internally and within client’s organization, able to educate, challenge logically and drive change on client’s end
  • Excellent communication skills, confident and able to convince and convey a sense of safety

Client/Agency Relationship Management

  • Relationship-builder: thinks and acts proactively to create regular contact opportunities; shares information, experience and insight with client and local agency teams to build trust and mutual respect; aims to attain position of Trusted Advisor to client; Has gravitas with local agency teams, influencing to achieve goals
  • Solid understanding of the impact of each area of the Dentsu Aegis Network business on the clients’ business;
  • Strategic thinking: thinks out of the box in reference to presenting innovative solutions to client challenges.

Commercial & Legal Acumen

  • Understands commercial & legal terms of the contract;
  • Considers all aspects of the agency set up from a commercial perspective;
  • General understanding of business models and trends, particularly within the client sector;
  • External market awareness: both in the media industry and client-specific challenges.

Media, strategy and product Skills

  • Passion for the Digital economy
  • Sound knowledge of all Dentsu Aegis Network services, operating companies and their strenghs and service model by market;
  • Clear understanding of all media KPIs, understand how to build / read a media plan
  • Strong marketing, media and communications concepts, models, skills, practices, tools, frameworks, etc.;
  • Good understanding of holistic digital media concepts, propositions, Dentsu Aegis Media digital services;
  • Ability to analyse numerical data and pull out reasonable and rational conclusions to underpin innovative strategic plan.

Communication

  • Excellent communicator: verbal, written, presentation, listening skills with internal and external stakeholders both senior and junior;
  • Superior level of attention to detail with all outputs. This will be a critical skill.

Self-awareness and organisation

  • Resilient: adopts energised and enthusiastic approach even when under pressure;
  • Project management skill: draws up plan for delivery of work to deadlines and with all milestones plotted; follows up key deliverables to ensure timely delivery and heads off any risk to this with proactive checking in.

  • People management: Ability to manage a large number of indirect reports by influencing, gravitas, client knowledge and beign a sugject matter expert in client’s business and DAN operating model. Sense of ownership in carrying out direct reports’ reviews and giving feedback.
  • Understands how to handle difficult and sensitive conversations.
