A new online subscription plateform for Trottibus, The Walking School Bus!

The Challenge

Our greatest challenge was that signups took place mainly via telephone or in person and were entered manually by the schools, making the signup and data collection processes very time-consuming.

Jacinthe Beaulieu Notre-Dame-des-Victoires School

WIthin the framework of its cancer prevention program, the Canadian Cancer Society launched Trottibus, an initiative for children from preschool to Grade 3, in 2010. However, no centralized platform had been developed for school, child and volunteer signups.

The Results

  • 50%

    increase in participating schools

  • 35%

    increase in signups

  • 25%

more volunteers signed up than the previous year

  • 25K

children got the know the program

The Canadian Cancer Society's Trottibus project won "The Play Exchange: An Active Living Challenge in Canada", a contest for promoting a healthy and active lifestyle sponsored by the Public Health Agency of Canada. The prize was a 1 million dollar grant for program development.

This project was very motivating to manage, due to the nature of the Trottibus program as well as the amazing challenge of developing this new platform.

The Strategy

In order to centralize the data, facilitate the signup of all target audiences (parents/children, volunteers and schools) and obtain reliable statistics, iProspect created an engaging online platform that was very visual, perfectly mobile optimized and accessible to school leaders in order to manage their statistics.

100% Vectorial
This high-performing platform was developed using vector elements that displayed in high definition on mobile devices and tablets, ensuring an impeccable rendering.

Mobile Platform
The site, developed to support a number of mobile devices, was responsive with an incomparably fast page-load time. The visuals were created using vector elements. The final product was sharp and displayed on screens with a resolution as high as 4K.

In-School Promotion
By combining a new website with promotion across schools and entering the program in "The Play Exchange: An Active Living Challenge in Canada", the Trottibus website became very popular and the program quickly became well-known outside of Quebec!

We are proud to to refer schools, parents, partners on the website. The wealth of information available on each of our schools and overall is greatly useful, not to mention that compiling and extracting data are made instantly and quickly.
