It is a fine day for sailing!
Earlier this year, iProspect Canada began a long term, collaborative partnership with the Esprit de Corps Group and the Heart & Stroke Foundation which resulted in the launch of the Work Hard Play Heart Challenge.
The Work Hard Play Heart Challenge allows staff to push their physical performance and endurance to the limit as one team while supporting a worthy cause with fundraising, pro bono and… a sailing challenge! The challenge aims to build awareness and drive fundraising to support physical activity in youth. An astounding 93% of young Canadians are physically inactive over 8 hours per day on average.
After 6 months of hard training, 25+ group workouts, 1000+ personal workouts, 25 000 combined lunges, 50 000 push ups, a dozen of health, nutrition and fitness learning sessions with experts, 3 preparatory sailing challenges, our team is finally ready to face the sea for the real thing!
An executive team of 10 iProspectors will set sail tomorrow morning in one of the world’s fastest sailing boat for a 4-day journey from Cap-à-l’Aigle, Québec to St. Pierre-et-Miquelon, France, proudly supported by the 80 iProspect employees in Canada who also participated in the training sessions and a sailing regatta last week.
To follow the team’s progress live along the open seas, you can use the ‘Spot’ tool here. Photos and videos will also be posted regularly on iProspect Canada Facebook page.
Donations are still accepted on the website and contributions will go to finance projects aimed at promoting physical health for schools in the greater Montreal area including purchasing equipment for exercise, rearranging of playgrounds and scheduling of regular exercise during the school day.
