Paid Media Team Lead


Job Summary

The Team Leader is responsible for leading a team of Paid Media Specialist and managing the execution of PPC/SEM campaigns and strategies. In this role you will partner with colleagues across channels to ensure that campaigns are consistently innovative; test new solutions and evaluate and optimize campaigns to drive our client's business goals.

This critical, people management role is a balance of strategy and execution. This role requires a strong understanding of paid search and paid social, as well as all aspects of performance marketing.

Main Responsibilities

  • Act as a mentor to and oversee a team of Paid Media Analysts (performance management, team development, resource planning);
  • Plan, manage, and execute paid search/Pay Per Click (PPC) and SEM campaigns;
  • Maintain and monitor keyword bids, account daily and monthly budget caps, impression share, quality score and other important metrics;
  • Daily use of reporting, analytics, and trend tools, including but not limited to Google Analytics, comScore, and Compete to track and optimize campaigns;
  • Provide strategic input for keyword opportunities, campaign structuring, targeting, display network, and other facets of paid search in accordance with client goals.


  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a team leadership role is required.  In addition, the successful candidate will possess 3-5 years of relevant experience in a digital agency setting managing complex earned/paid media initiatives;

  • Experience with bid management tools, including the knowledge of their different types of search engine marketing tactics;

  • Experience with Paid Search Platforms like Marin, Kenshoo, DS3, Certification a plus;

  • Excellent communication skills in both French and English;

  • Demonstrated strong performance in prior roles, with increasing levels of responsibilities and excellent management skills;

  • Experience with digital marketing tools like Google Trends, Keyword Planner, Consumer Barometer and more;

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of study. Google Certification (Analytics and/or Adwords) would be considered valuable assets.
